A special badge has been revealed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Superman’s death

It’s the 30th anniversary of one of the most shocking moments in comic history, and DC Comics celebrates in many different ways. The moment is, of course, Death of Superman, and DC will be introducing some brand-new stories set during this event in The Death of Superman 30th Anniversary Special. Those who remember the original story will likely remember the DC-released black and red armbands that heroes wore in the comics after Superman’s death, and now metropolitan community Revealed the first look at a new badge with a special design for the 30th anniversary. The 1st anniversary of Superman’s death #1 will celebrate the legendary battle between Superman and Doomsday with four all-new stories from the original creative teams, including the teams of Dan Jurgens, Brett Breeding, Roger Stern, Butch Jess, Louise Simonson, John Bogdanov, Jerry Ordway and Tom Gromit. These stories will focus on Jonathan Kent, Steel, Guardian, Ma and Pa Kent, but will also feature a new villain called Doombreaker, and you can find the full rundown of all four stories below.

● “The Life of Superman” by Dan Jurgens (W&A), Brett Breeding (A), Brad Anderson (C), and John Workman (L) – young John Kent finds out at school that his father died years ago, because his parents didn’t tell him Never about that fateful day. In the midst of dealing with this emotional news, John and Clark need to band together to battle a new Doomsday-connected villain called
Death breaker.

● “Standing Guard” by Roger Stern (W), Butch Guice (A), Glenn Whitmore (C), Rob Leigh (L) – The epic battle between Superman and Doomsday from a Guardians perspective.

● “Time” by Louise Simonson (W), John Bogdanov (A), Glenn Whitmore (center), and Rob Lee (left) – the story of how Superman’s death looked from John Henry Irons’ perspective.

● “Above and Beyond” by Jerry Ordway (W), Tom Grummett (P), Doug Hazelwood (I), Glenn Whitmore (C), Rob Leigh (L) – A touching story of Ma and Pa Kent watching their son fight Doomsday over Live on TV and browse Clark’s photo albums with the feeling that their son is always in control.

The 30th Anniversary of the Death of Superman Deluxe Edition will also include Superman: Death Day #1 – 4 for the first time ever, and arrives in comic stores and bookstores on December 6. There will also be a special edition of Superman #75 that will feature the original story, arriving in comic stores on November 1.
